Embarcadero DBArtisan 8.1 and MySQL

Embarcadero’s latest version of DBArtisan, 8.1, has native support for MySQL, and is even Certified for MySQL Network.

I reckon this is cool news for the many existing users of DBArtisan, they can now use their familiar tool to also manage their MySQL servers.

  1. We at Webyog have been natively supporting MySQL through our product SQLyog from day one 🙂

Our latest stable version v4.1 offers a great a Migration Tool to import data from any ODBC compliant data source to MySQL. It offers various unique features like Triggers etc. to actually sync data between an ODBC compliant datasource to MySQL.

We release v4.2 BETA with complete support for v5.x objects. If you want I can send you a copy with registration key for evaluation.

  2. Ritesh- of course, and drawing attention to one product doesn’t detract from the fact that there are many other products out there. But the fact is also that there are many users in established database environments who have been using DBArtisan for years, for instance to administer Oracle installations. Now, it is also a fact that in many companies, Oracle and MySQL co-exist happily (i.e. not migration, just different apps use a different db). That is, in the past admins would have had to use different tools for each. So that’s why this product is really very significant.
