This one-day workshop at the different techniques PostgreSQL has to implement replication, including different architectures including lazy master/slave, eager master/slave and eager master/master replication. These methods will be examined, along with other techniques with a workshop to setup in the classroom and practice suitable recovery procedures.

Bucardo PostgreSQL Replication Workshop

This one-day workshop looks at the new master-master technology called Bucardo. Bucardo uses a simple event-based interface utilising the builtin PostgreSQL features of LISTEN/NOTIFY. These methods will be examined, along with other techniques with a workshop to setup in the classroom and practice suitable recovery procedures.
