  1. They were both born in Sweden.

  2. Both are the standard by which everything else is measured? (probably not, but it’s worth a shot, ie, Kelvin and Farenheit aren’t the standard, Celsius is, and I can joke that Oracle and PostgreSQL and SQL Server and Sybase and DB2 are all compared to MySQL as MySQL is the standard.

  3. A: They are both developed by Swedes!

  4. Both are from Uppsala in Sweden.

  5. They were both created in Uppsala, Sweden. Celsius by Anders Celsius at the Universitet Uppsala, and of course MySQL by Monty at TCX DataKonsult AB.

    Just “Sweden” is a bit too simple, since the fun is that they come from the exact same town.
